The Finished Work Roofing Company was contacted by another company to take on a roofing project concerning making repairs to a leak in October of 2016. This project was challenging because of the shape of the roof, which was a combination of a mansard roof and a flat roof. Mansard roofs are very unique in that they have two slopes on all four sides, where the lower slope is much steeper than the other one. This is a sophisticated design that mimics the architecture commonly seen in France, while giving the homeowner more attic space. So, our team had to install a commercial-grade TPO roofing system for increased durability for this mansard roof. We always want to provide our clients with roofs that will last for many years to come, which is why we made this decision. The Finished Work Roofing and Custom Metals teams worked on the roofing and the siding of the home, installed new chimney caps, and new gutters to match the roof.
Another unique trait about this project is the color of the roof. Our client has a great eye for home design, so they chose a matte black color for their metal roof. The roof had a steep pitch change, which required a large bend in the metal. With this color, any imperfection is highly visible, so we had to work hard to ensure we installed the roof perfectly. Our team was able to provide a beautiful roof for the client, with only necessary bends in the metal.
