In February of 2017, the Finished Work Roofing Company took on a challenging, but rewarding project for a client. Our client’s home was hit by a very severe hailstorm in 2016, which unfortunately caused great damage to their roof. Thankfully, no interior work needed to be done, as the hailstorm only damaged the exterior of the home. The client’s home is very tall, so this made the project more difficult on our end. However, we were able to go in and replace the damaged roof with metal and a slate made from a special rock quarry in New York. The client’s old roof was constructed with this special slate and beautiful metal, so we made sure to match the old roof, as this was requested by the client.
We also replaced their copper chimney cap, as this was also damaged in the hailstorm. The Finished Work Custom Metals team installed copper gutters and downspouts at the client’s request to give the home a more upscale look. With this project, we used copper nails to prevent wear and tear from harsh weather conditions. Now, the client’s roof is damage-free, and they will be more prepared in the event of another storm.
